Project Square Footage 4,455 of addition
A masonry and stone addition to an existing church structure. The addition was designed to provide handicapped accessibility to the existing first floor and basement level of the church. The addition includes a drive-under canopy, accessible restrooms, a gathering space for funeral visitations and other social functions, and an elevator serving both floors. Due to the existing grading elevation differences, the new driveway leading to the canopy has a long sweeping approach, and masonry retaining walls which separates the driveway and sidewalk from the grade below.
The exterior of the addition features a matching asphalt shingle roof, stone veneer to closely match the existing stone exterior, arched windows, flashed stone parapet walls, and other design elements that match the historic styling of the original church building.
